Originally from Virginia, I grew up in Norman, Oklahoma but now call Tulsa my home. I have been living here for the past five years and work at the University of Tulsa as Assistant Director of the Center for Global Education (CGE). Since 2004, I have been managing Tulsa's reciprocal exchange programs, providing support, orientation, and cultural programming to visiting exchange students, and advising Tulsa's students in their pursuit of academic opportunities abroad.
Before returning to Oklahoma, I was the Program Coordinator of the International Center at Duke University's Fuqua School of Business for four years where I directed Fuqua's reciprocal exchange partnerships and provided academic and social support to international MBA students.
I have Bachelor's degrees in French and Women's Studies from the University of Oklahoma and a Master's degree in Intercultural Relations from Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
As a student, I studied and worked abroad in Germany and France and have travelled extensively throughout Europe. I am proficient in French and currently learning Spanish.
I volunteer my time working with the children's ministry and the youth at my church and serve as vice-president of my neighborhood association. I enjoy international travel, meditation, yoga, international films, reading, and gardening.
Photography has been a hobby of mine for a number of years. I especially like shooting black and white film and hope to branch out into digital soon. I enjoy photographing nature and the kids of my friends and family members. My job allows me often to travel internationally so I never miss a chance to take my camera with me.
